Home Ownership Workshops
A partnership with Ho-Chunk Housing Community Development Agency
First Nations Community Financial is excited to provide an 8 hour home ownership program to tribal members looking into getting qualified for a home loan. Facilitators focus on the process to pre-qualify for the loan and how to clean up a bad credit report. Topics include material to show how clients can get a house on fee-simple land, individual trust or lease on tribal trust lands.
Contact Marjorie Whitman at HHCDA and let her know you’re ready to sign up for the course. FNCF can provide this curriculum in different areas as well.

Crazy prizes and fun for all. (Ages 12 – 18) This event is a reality money game that pits young people against themselves to understand how receiving big money can affect your life during ordinary and extraordinary circumstances. Youth are given a certain amount of money depending on taxes paid, age, and location and are forced to make decisions based on cards they receive at different tables during the game. Some of the most unlikely scenarios can happen, which young people seemed pretty impressed with.
Youth have expressed how fun the event is as they learn about new opportunities, personal challenges, and tribal specific programs can provide needed assistance that range from Home Ownership, Education, to getting into the Military or into a family scenario.
