Services we Provide

Homebuyer Education:

FNCF is partnering with HHCDA and HCN Housing departments to offer the “Pathways Home” training. This is a curriculum designed to help participants become homebuyer ready. Offered in a group and at times an individual setting.  Topics include assessing homebuyer readiness, understanding credit, needs vs wants, understanding the application process, and homeowner responsibilities.  Completion of this class is required for HHCDA down payment assistance.

Indianpreneurship:

This is a small business planning course to assist participants in developing a business plan.  Topics include marketing, location, types of ownership, finances, and business identity.  Completion of this class is required to take out a small business plan with FNCF.

One-one–credit coaching:

This is solely to meet individual needs and can be tailored to reading and analyzing a credit report, creating a spending plan, goal setting, repayment strategies, understanding collections, payday loans, credit cards etc. Individuals can call and set up appointments with a loan officer and these sessions will be done privately. (doesn’t require taking out a loan product)

Youth and Family Events

We frequently have youth and family centered events throught the year and throughout the state, including Family Fun Nights, thrift sales, community bazaars, other events to help support our communities.  You can see our upcoming events on our Events page and calendar.  Check it out!

Financial Frenzy/Game of Life

FNCF has done this event ANNUALY since 2010! Locations include, Wisconsin Dells, Nekoosa, Warrens and BRF. Crazy prizes and fun for all ages 12 – 18. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend with their children. This event is a reality money game that pits young people against themselves to understand how receiving big money can affect your life during ordinary and extraordinary circumstances. Youth are given a certain amount of money depending on taxes paid, age, and location and are forced to make decisions based on cards they receive at different tables during the game. Some of the most unlikely scenarios can happen, which young people seemed pretty impressed with.  If you are interested in setting this event up at your location please contact us.

Financial Skills for Families:

This is a workshop that can be used as a whole day worth of training or modified to meet your needs. Topics include spending plans, understanding credit, checking and savings accounts, and accessing credit. (Offered in group settings 5-20 participants.)

Summer School Enrichment/Preparations For Life:

FNCF assisted HCN Community Supportive Services with a sponsorship and provided a Financial Jeopardy workshop to the kids who participated in the summer school program that day. Financial Jeopardy is a fun way to learn basic financial terms and concepts. Can be used with adults and youth.

Booths:

We are willing to come to any of your community events just to have a booth to provide information or answer any questions your participants may have. (Events we have been at in the past include General Council, Journey of Hope, Head start open houses, small business incubators, casino booth for employees)
